Biography
Simisola Bolatito is a popular Nigerian singer, songwriter, and actress who was born on April 19, 1988. Simi is the last of four children to Oladele Ogunleye in Ojuelegba.
In an interview with Vanguard newspaper, Simi said her parents divorced when she was nine years old.
Simi grew up singing in her church choir, and she wrote her first song when she was ten years old.
Education
According to the available information, Simi attended Stars International College, a popular secondary school in Ikorodu, Lagos State, before she proceeded to Covenant University, where Simi majored in mass media.
Career
Simi dropped her first music album, Ogaju, in 2008 this was the beginning of her professional music career. The album featured songs like “Iya Temi” and “Ara Ile.”
Simi hired Samklef to produce the entire music album.
Simi dropped one five-track EP called Restless. In January 2014, she was signed to the X3M Music recording label. Immediately after the deal, she started making waves in the Nigerian music industry.
Simi dropped two hit singles, “Tiff” and “E No Go Funny,” on January 9, 2014. Both songs were well-received by the Nigerian public, resulting in widespread airplay and together with several positive reviews from reviewers.
