Basketmouth is a popular Nigerian Comedian, Actor, TV presenter, producer, and show organizer. He was born on 14 September 1978 his full name is Bright Okpocha. Basketmouth was born in Lagos State, Nigeria.
He started his career in 1991 after drumming for over 5 years afterward. During this time, he used to play drums for his church and a band at that point, he started rap music and later diverted into that path in 1994.
Basketmouth formed a 7–member group in 1995, which was made up of him, his friends and his brother called “da psychopaths”. They split before they could release one album or single.
Basketmouth and his brother Godwin formed another group named D Oddz and later added Muyiwa Osunrobi.
They did a couple of shows but couldn’t succeed in the Nigerian music industry because rap wasn’t accepted at the time.

Bright Okpocha popularly known as Basketmouth started his career as a drummer in 1991 before going into rapping in 1994.
In 1995, Basketmouth created “Da Psychopaths,” with a group of seven people, and started performing and rapping. Not long after, the group disbanded before any recordings of any project.
Basketmouth and his brother Godwin formed another group named D Oddz and later added Muyiwa Osunrobi.
They did a couple of shows but couldn’t succeed in the Nigerian music industry because rap wasn’t accepted at the time.
Basketmouth appeared in the “Gra Gra” music video by Lagbaja in 2000.
